Gold and silver rate today fell sharply on Friday as weak spot demand weighed on the precious metals market. Retail rates fell across several major Indian cities, affecting 24K, 22K, and 18K gold.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), December gold futures dropped by ₹2,178, or 1.51%, to ₹1,41,917 per 10 grams. Trading activity stood at 2,152 lots. According to market analysts, subdued spot demand contributed to the decline.
Internationally, gold futures also moved lower, falling 0.94% to $4,049.43 per ounce in New York.

Gold Prices Decline in Bengaluru
Gold rates in Bengaluru moved lower across all purity categories. The price of 24K gold stood at ₹14,346 per gram, while 22K gold was available at ₹13,150. Meanwhile, 18K gold was priced at ₹10,759 per gram.
Delhi Gold Rate Today
In Delhi, 24K gold traded at ₹14,361 per gram. The rate for 22K gold reached ₹13,165, while 18K gold was priced at ₹10,764 per gram. Prices declined across all three categories.
Mumbai Gold Rate Today
Mumbai also recorded a fall in gold prices. The latest rates stood at ₹14,346 per gram for 24K gold, ₹13,150 for 22K gold and ₹10,759 for 18K gold.
Chennai Gold Rate Today
In Chennai, 24K gold was priced at ₹14,335 per gram. Meanwhile, 22K gold stood at ₹13,140 and 18K gold at ₹10,760 per gram.
Kolkata Gold Rate Today
Gold prices in Kolkata declined, with 24K gold available at ₹14,346 per gram. The 22K rate stood at ₹13,150, while 18K gold cost ₹10,759 per gram.
Hyderabad Gold Rate Today
Hyderabad recorded similar prices, with 24K gold at ₹14,346 per gram. The rates for 22K and 18K gold were ₹13,150 and ₹10,759, respectively.
Ahmedabad Gold Rate Today
