Swastika Infra Wins Biggest-Ever Contract from MSEDCL

Construction and power infrastructure company Swastika Infra has received a major boost after securing a significant contract worth approximately ₹615.76 crore from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited

. The project is related to distribution infrastructure development and system strengthening in Maharashtra’s Bhandup Zone.

This represents the largest single order in the company’s history and marks an important milestone for the recently listed power transmission and distribution (T&D) sector company.

Order Book Crosses ₹1,400 Crore

Following the award of this contract, Swastika Infra’s unexecuted order book has increased substantially to nearly ₹1,400 crore. This is a sharp rise from the company’s reported order book of around ₹687 crore as of March 2026.

The increase highlights strong business visibility and provides confidence regarding future revenue generation. For investors and market participants, a growing order book is often viewed as a positive indicator of a company’s long-term growth potential.

Details of the MSEDCL Project

Under the contract awarded by MSEDCL, Swastika Infra will carry out multiple infrastructure development and network strengthening activities in the Bhandup region of Maharashtra.

The total project value of ₹615.76 crore is particularly notable because it is approximately 1.2 times the company’s FY26 revenue of ₹504 crore. This demonstrates the scale and strategic importance of the project for the company.

Key Scope of Work

The project involves several critical power distribution infrastructure activities, including:

  • Distribution network modernization
  • System strengthening initiatives
  • Development and enhancement of electrical infrastructure
  • Upgradation of power distribution facilities
  • Improvements aimed at ensuring reliable electricity supply

These projects are expected to support the modernization and efficiency of the power distribution network in the designated region.

Why This Order Is Important for Swastika Infra

According to the company, the contract was secured independently based on its financial strength, technical expertise, and execution capabilities.

With over 15 years of industry experience, Swastika Infra has established a track record in executing power infrastructure projects. Winning a large-scale government-backed project reinforces the company’s credibility and demonstrates its ability to manage complex infrastructure assignments.

Beyond the financial value, this order is considered a strategic milestone because it enhances the company’s ability to compete for larger projects in the future.

Maharashtra Expansion Creates New Opportunities

The contract also strengthens Swastika Infra’s geographical footprint. The company currently operates across multiple states, and this project marks a significant step in expanding its presence in Maharashtra, one of India’s largest electricity-consuming markets.

As demand for power infrastructure upgrades continues to grow, Maharashtra offers substantial opportunities in the power transmission and distribution sector. Establishing operations in the state could help the company secure additional contracts and support long-term expansion plans.

Recent Stock Market Listing

Swastika Infra was recently listed on both the BSE and NSE. The stock debuted at ₹200 per share, compared to its issue price of ₹185, delivering a listing gain of approximately 8.11% for investors.

The company’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) also received encouraging interest from various investor categories.

IPO Subscription Details

  • Total Subscription: 7.60 times
  • Non-Institutional Investors (NII): 18.50 times
  • Retail Investors: 5.39 times
  • Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB): 3.22 times

The healthy subscription figures reflected positive investor sentiment toward the company’s business model and growth potential.

Share Price Responds Positively

The market reacted positively to the order announcement. Swastika Infra shares closed at ₹210.10, registering a gain of around 5% during the trading session.

Strong order inflows, increasing business visibility, and expansion into a major power market have contributed to improving investor confidence in the company.

Conclusion

The ₹615.76 crore MSEDCL contract is a landmark achievement for Swastika Infra. The project not only doubles the company’s order book to around ₹1,400 crore but also establishes its presence in Maharashtra’s growing power infrastructure sector. Combined with its recent stock market listing and strong IPO response, the latest order strengthens Swastika Infra’s growth outlook and positions the company for potential long-term expansion in India’s power transmission and distribution industry.
