Reliance Industries share Q2 Results: Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries share is expected to report strong earnings for the September 2026 quarter, supported by improved refining margins and steady growth in its digital business. However, weaker retail profitability could partly offset these gains.
According to LSEG estimates cited by Reuters, Reliance’s consolidated net profit could increase 17.5% year-on-year to ₹21,348 crore, while revenue is projected to rise 28%.
Oil-to-Chemicals Business Expected to Lead Growth
Reliance’s oil-to-chemicals (O2C) division, which contributes more than half of its total revenue, is likely to emerge as the biggest earnings driver.
Higher crude oil prices, stronger refining margins and increased refinery utilisation are expected to support profitability.
Kotak Institutional Equities estimates that O2C operating profit could surge 47%, helped by improved refining performance, cheaper US ethane feedstock and a weaker rupee.
Nomura analyst Bineet Banka also expects record refining margins and higher refinery utilisation to strengthen the segment’s performance.
Meanwhile, JPMorgan believes healthy refining and petrochemical margins, along with progress in solar project commissioning, could provide additional momentum.

Jio Earnings in Focus After Stock Market Debut
Reliance’s telecom and digital business will attract significant investor attention following Jio Platforms’ stock market debut on October 28.
The upcoming results will offer investors their first opportunity to assess Jio’s financial performance since its listing.
According to Motilal Oswal, Jio’s EBITDA could grow 2.8%, supported by its telecom operations.
Retail Business May Face Margin Pressure
While refining and digital services are expected to deliver positive results, Reliance Retail could remain a concern.
Motilal Oswal anticipates a 3% decline in retail profit as the company expands lower-margin quick-commerce deliveries.
Although this business offers growth opportunities, its profitability could remain under pressure in the near term.

Reliance Industries Share Price Under Pressure
Reliance Industries share were trading 0.3% lower at ₹1,163.40 around 11:35 AM IST on October 30, according to Reuters.
The stock had declined approximately 26% year-to-date, compared with a 12% fall in the Nifty 50.
Despite expectations of strong refining earnings, investors remain cautious about retail valuations, the holding-company discount and uncertainty surrounding near-term returns from renewable energy investments.
What Investors Should Watch
Investors will closely monitor O2C profitability, Jio’s earnings trajectory, retail margins and updates on the company’s renewable energy projects.
Strong performance in refining and telecom may lift overall earnings, but management commentary on retail profitability and future capital expenditure could play an equally important role in shaping market sentiment.
